Startup Office with 45 Workstations in Zurich
Situation
A growing tech startup in Zurich-West had 45 employees in an open-plan office of 400 m2. The existing WiFi regularly dropped during video calls, especially when many employees were in meetings simultaneously. Onboarding new employees to the network was cumbersome.
Solution
Digital Runners installed a UniFi Cloud Gateway Ultra, a Switch Enterprise 48 PoE for the backbone, and 4 U7 Pro Max access points for the high-density environment. Three VLANs separate staff, guests and IoT devices. An additional U7 Pro was placed in the meeting room area. QoS rules prioritise video traffic.
Result
Video calls now run without interruptions, even at full occupancy. New employees are onboarded in 2 minutes via the self-service portal. The network is designed for up to 100 workstations. Investment: approximately CHF 5,200.
