Typical Project
Regional Museum with 6 Exhibition Rooms in Winterthur
Situation
A regional museum in a listed heritage building in Winterthur with 6 exhibition rooms, a shop and an event space had no visitor WiFi and no digital infrastructure for interactive exhibits. Heritage authorities prohibited visible cables and large wall mountings.
Solution
Digital Runners planned a minimally invasive installation with a UniFi Cloud Gateway Ultra and 5 U7 Pro access points, integrated into existing cable ducts and suspended ceilings. A visitor WiFi with museum branding was set up. Three UniFi AI Theta cameras monitor the most valuable exhibits with AI-powered motion detection.
Result
The museum now offers interactive smartphone-based audio guides, branded visitor WiFi and seamless surveillance of its collection. The heritage authority approved the installation without conditions. Investment: approximately CHF 6,200.
