Situation
A hair salon in St. Gallen with 4 styling stations and 3 employees had an old ISP-provided router. The WiFi was slow, and customers complained. The iPad-based POS system regularly went offline, and there was no security camera despite cash transactions.
Solution
Digital Runners installed a compact setup: a UniFi Cloud Gateway Ultra, a PoE+ Switch Flex Mini and a U7 Pro access point for the entire salon. Customer WiFi was separated from the POS network via VLAN. A G5 Turret Ultra camera monitors the entrance and checkout area.
Result
Customers now enjoy fast, stable WiFi. The POS system runs without outages, and the salon owner can monitor the entrance via app from home. The entire installation took 3 hours. Investment: approximately CHF 1,200.
